    What are drops?

    Probably sounds like a really stupid question, but what are drops? I've been looking into SE'ing and some other shit and drops have come up quite a lot, but with no explanation as to what they are and how to get them. All I've gathered is that it is a safety measure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
