Nope, it's not.

OP, you can get a 'free' .com/.net domain when you host with bluehost. They recover the fee for the domain from your hosting subscription with them. The domain will come free, but the hosting will not.

yeah you can't get any thing like .com for free - there are plenty of free extensions but they will all look bad for SEing and whatever. Best thing to do is save up for one - theyre not expensive.

For free not (some TLDs like on freenom are for free). But sometimes you may have sales or promos at 1&1, namecheap and so on where you get a domain for ~1$ for a year
