Well, I lost my job 19 months ago and spent $200 at Lowe’s on window cleaning supplies and hit the street selling. I sold right at 14K in 60 days. Using hard work without even having good sales skills I would imagine that one could make 4K in 60 days doing almost any home service.

You chan check my post history for info as I have made many updates in this subreddit since I’ve started the business.

You can see my business journey documented from day one here :https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTS3WLs...WFaqTzP2mQ

If you really are in a bind and willing to do home service type of work hit me up directly and I’ll be happy to assist if I can.

Contracting.

  1. List out all your current skill set on a paper that you can contract.

  2. Pick the highest paying one.

  3. Improve that skill at 1-10% per day or week depending on your time.

  4. Look at your competitors in your target-market who target medium-high paying clients.

  5. Role-play as a client with them and learn how they talk, sell, and what kinda value they provide. (Don't close the deal, you don't have the money lol, you can politely decline at the end.)

  6. Repeat the same with your leads and deliver them the value with your skill.

Remember, you just have to be equal or marginally better than your competitors. Aim to close 1 deal at first. If you can close 1, you can close many.

Re-invest the money you make to improve your service in-comparison with your competitors. You always gotta be improving.

And then, you can stop aiming to compete. Start aiming to dominate.

Buy a fryer, paper bags and powdered sugar. Look up festivals near you, or churches, anywhere people would be hungry and impulse buy. Make zeppole and sell them for a couple bucks a bag. Sounds like a crappy idea but there's a cookie maker that makes a million a year selling chocolate chip cookies in the Missouri State festival. The key is impulse buying people.

I've heard that starting a pressure washing business is a good gig. Get a pressure washer and your good to go. Get one persons driveway and the whole neighborhood will see you and a few might solicit your services. Not to mention how satisfying pressure washing is.
