Cybercriminals calling themselves AgainstTheWest (ATW) have reported hacking into a Chinese TV station.

Judging by the screenshots published by vx-underground, the attackers planned a live broadcast for 53 minutes and provided a QR code for viewing.
Who are AgainstTheWest, and whether their statements can be believed, is not entirely clear. If this is really a new hacker group, then it has appeared recently, and there is almost no information about it. Judging by the article in the English-language Wikipedia, AgainstTheWest is a hacktivist group "supporting Taiwan." According to the article, she carried out a number of cyber attacks on serious organizations in China, and all of them took place in October-November 2021 (the Wikipedia article itself was created in November).
Among the alleged victims of AgainstTheWest are the People's Bank of China (the country's government-controlled central bank), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the cable manufacturer Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable Co, Alibaba Cloud and Tencent.
On the open Internet, in addition to the Wikipedia article, AgainstTheWest can only be found on the RaidForums forum. A user with that name was registered on October 12, and links to Twitter and Instagram lead to Interpol pages.
