Have you ever had an idea for a product?

Hey all,

 

This is my first thread and I would love to get all your advice and knowledge (if you have it)!

 

So, have you ever had an idea on a product (in my case its a piece of technology) but you just dont know how to mock up a prototype or even know how to take it forward?

 

 

Questions.....

 

1) What would you do next after the initial idea?

2) Who do you approach to get a prototype together without effectively giving away your idea?

 

Id be interested to see what people would or wouldnt do!

I've had an idea for a game since i was like 11. I even went to college for software engineering. Unfortunately, even though I graduated, my skills and knowledge never panned out to create it.
