Amazon Tips? Buying something $500+

I'm about to make a big purchase on Amazon to refund it. The worth is just a little over $500.

Any tips? I already put in a couple orders to make it seem like a legit account. You think the usual "It never came" will work? I might actually try a different variation of it of where I say I actually saw someone steal the package.

What should I know though? Should I have more than 3 previous small orders? Should I have a big order?
