Decrypting hashes- HashCat + Gui

Recommended Posts

[hide]Decided to write a manual, because the sensible is not found, and the guys on the forum, but "hash finder" don't know anything.

Why HashCat?

- High speed (much faster than in password pro)

- Support for various devices (Hash cat can work both on CPU and via GPU)

- Work with various video cards based on Nvidia and ATI

- Advanced functionality.

Now proceed with the installation and configuration.

1. Go to http://hashcat.net/hashcat/ (off site) and download the latest version of "hashcat binaries"

The 3.10 - http://hashcat.net/files/hashcat-3.10.7z

2. Go to hashkiller: https://anonfile.com/Scl1Fezan9/HashcatGUI_zip (off site gui) and pick from there HashcatGUI.

At the moment the current version 050b1 - https://anonfile.com/Scl1Fezan9/HashcatGUI_zip

3. Resouroes hesket in one folder for example, hesket GUI to another, so:

4. Go to the folder with HashcatGUI, run the App.HashcatGUI.exe

SPOILER: WATCH - START HASHCATGUI

5. At the bottom, where Binary - you need to choose our hashcat, which is located in Another folder.

Choose exe, go to the folder:

hashcat64.exe for those who have X64 bit OS (you can see in my computer - properties)

hashcat32.exe for those who have X86 bit OS (you can see in my computer - properties)

SPOILER: VIEW - CHOOSE HASHCAT.EXE

6. Next we need dictionaries, go to the same hashkiller: https://hashkiller.co.uk/downloads.aspx

and download from there the dictionary HashKiller Passwords - http://home.btconnect.com/md5decrypter/hashkiller-dict.rar

Extract the dictionary, for example, next to the Dict folder.

7. Add our dictionary - go to the tab "Wordlists & Markov", and select it.

SPOILER: VIEW - ADDING A DICTIONARY IN HASHCAT

You can also add any other dictionary of passwords, if You have or can download. The more good dictionaries - the better the quality of decoding.

PS good dictionary you can make your own, here roughly described as what: https://bhf.io/threads/346562/page-3#post-3859615

8. Next, Select the database and algorithm, for example I will - MD5. The type of database should be either hash or hash-salt, depending on Your algorithm and the folder where the found hashes will be saved, in the form that you choose in the Format, I recommend using the standard - hash:[salt]:plain

At the top, check Remove found hashes - to remove hashes and Disable Pot File - not to write passwords to a common Pot file.

9. Click the Hash me button, Hash Cat will determine all Your devices - GPU / CPU and start decrypting.

SPOILER: VIEW - TRANSCRIPT HASHCAT

In order to see the status of the transcript of the press s in the console (no caps in English. raskrutka)

If you want to pause - p

Continue decryption - r

You can stop by simply closing the console or by using - q

10. You will find the decryption where you specified to save the file, in this case we specified in the Output the same folder where our file with hashes is located. Actually there You will find Your decryption in the file with the prefix "_found[/hide]
