this only works if the controller is bought within 90 days , so if you know someone with a new xbox you can do this 

 

you will need a controllers S/N get one from your friends controller or find one online

 

go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devicesfill in the details 

 

say the joystick or something like that is broken if the controller is within 90 days they will send you a new one 

 

now you have a new controller 

 

this is a method that I use to get free Xbox one controllers . You can use this for personal use or get the controllers and re-sell them . once they send you a new one you can just use that S/N and repeat.[/hide]
