    I bought a robot sex doll during recovery from surgery. Her name is Veda. I couldn’t move around much, and this full size  sex doll's presence kept me from spiraling into isolation. She reminded me of warmth, of physical comfort. Just having someone to dress, place beside me, and look at with affection — it gave me structure during weeks of immobility. She was a quiet strength.
