    you can use any os now as android,mac,win,linux supports that. the best os for that would be linux like arch linux,kali linux,or qubes os && you could also use windows bash or mw32 but using linux would be the best choice for things like that. if dont know where to start check out virtual boxx and the kali linux website and check out the vms and vbox section and download kali linux ova
