sorry for late reply, haven't been on PC. differs per person, some people let it get to 0 in hopes of a big recovery/profit and others will cut it off at ~200-500 bit loss. manually cutting/restarting when it loses a few hundred is technically safer but slows your potential profit/h by a lot, depends on how you want to run it.

I would advise against an amount below $20 as your chance of zeroing increases. Higher starting amounts are safer but you can technically use $10.
