The Main Goal

Our main goal simply put is to try and convert leechers into contributors, every contribution helps & none should be valued above the rest. Content is what brings people in but the community is what makes people want to stay and contribute, it's a circle. A member who is active in lounge or posts feedback is just as valued and should be treated that way.

Basic Warning / Banning

General Guidelines: The general punishment you will be giving the most is one of our pre-defined warnings located in the give warning window, these warnings issue a 50% warning level and should be seen as their first and only warning. This warning is given in hopes that the user sees that it's time to contribute.

Spammers: When you find someone spamming posts with "hgfhfghf" or emotes only then there is no point trying to convert them, you should just issue a permanent ban through the "Purge User" button found on their profiles. This button removes all their post but also adds their IP to the ban list, it should ONLY be used for spammer and not as a way to ban normal leechers.

Leechers PRE-20: PRE-20 is an indication of their post count, you should aim to always warn these members before banning them unless the circumstances are not as straight forward, in these cases you should PM @Royals. The pre-made warnings should cover most aspects in which you need to warn but if they do not make sure to set the warn period to a 1 month time-frame & 50%.

Leechers POST-30: This is where it becomes a little more based on your knowledge, pre-30 is not a set statistic of posts and in fact none of what you hear will be because one situation does not fit all. You can feel free to apply the pre-20 punishments even if they are slightly over 20 but when the user has approached 30 posts or if you find a user which is well above 30 you should just permanently ban them right away. Only do this if the user has no avatar / other profile customisations, these should that they have taken the time to explore the forum and not just leech, if a user has an avatar / signature sometimes it may be more prudent to give them a temporary ban of 1 week.

Awards

Moderators may give out the "Discord Squad" award, "Star" award & "Exclusive releases" only, before handing out any others please PM either @Royals or @Florain. It's as simple as this. It's important not to give yourself awards too, don't devalue what they mean to the community and yourselves. If you manage to get one of the awards which are from some sort of forum goal / contribution than you're free to give it to yourself. Awards like Trusted should not be given to yourself. You do not determine yourself as Trusted, this is true in every situation of life.

Multi-accounters

Multi-leechers: If you're sure that the member is a multi you should permanently ban, you can tell if they're multiing to leech by checking their past profiles and looking at their status. Be 100% sure before you ban any multi.

Multi: There is also a confusing aspect to multi-accounters, just because their IP matches does mean that they're a multi. A lot of people register with VPN & their ip gets shared with other users, with the amount of vpn accouns leaked this is to be expected. If you find a contributing member has a multi account you should PM me. I'll contact the user and find out if it's his multi. Make sure to NOT ban any contributing members over multis.

PMing users once warning

When you give users a warning they're not notified of that warning currently so it's important we use the features provided for us. When warning someone you will see "Send this user a private message notifying them of this warning" which is mandatory when giving out warnings. You should link to the relevant rule set or page and their offence. Here are a few examples.

Someone who writes a response which isn't English

We only allow English on this board, you have broken rule 3 of posting rules, you can find them  here: https://cracked.to/misc.php?action=help&hid=9

Someone who posts accounts with linked payment methods

Accounts with linked payment methods are considered fraud, you have broken rule 4 of posting rules, you can find them here: https://cracked.to/misc.php?action=help&hid=9

Someone who posts accounts under a cash link

Cash-links are prohbited here, you have broke rule 7 of posting rules, you can find them here: https://cracked.to/misc.php?action=help&hid=9

You see the pattern here, you should write their offence and where they can find the rules. It's important to also link to the rule set as people are generally lazy & struggle to find the correct place.

So if you have any questions about what you should do with a member it'll be found here. This wont cover every aspect of moderation but hopefully you can use some intuition from the information you'll find here.

Forward any questions you may have about what you're suppose to do in certain situations to me.
